The Kawerau Gorge Trail is presently under construction and is hoping to be NZ’s next Great Ride.

Updates on opening dates will provided as soon as we have them, it is a huge project and one that will be a benefit to everyone.

The Kawerau Gorge Trail is going to open up previously inaccessible segments of the stunning Kawarau Gorge. The riding will include bluff bridges, past in fact nearly over the top of the awesome Citron rapid. Cross two very very cool suspension bridges, the rich history of the area along the way has awesome stories of early gold mining days, clever power generation projects, tales of rabbit hunting, and the ancient routes traversed by early Maori. The trail ends at Bannockburn, with great links to Cromwell, options await for the next day.
