AMAZING service and professionalism at Bike It Now! We loved our trip on the Otago Rail Trail, and Bike it Now made everything so seamless and easy for us. The accommodation, local knowledge and of course the bikes were top quality. The door to door service from Queenstown was fantastic and meant transport was one less thing for us to worry about.

We rented ebikes for the Dunstan Trail. All organized with a single phone call – including bikes sent to Cromwell, and a return shuttle from Clyde back to start. Staff were informative and friendly. Bikes were newish Merida mtb style, with carrier luggage bag, helmet, drink bottle – ideal for the trail. Climbed the hills with no effort 👌

The Best Family Adventure — Sorted from Start to Finish
We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the 3-day Central Otago Rail Trail with Bike It Now! From the very start, the team was incredibly helpful in getting us organised — they made the whole planning process a breeze for our family of four.
The standout moment? Around 40km in, we realised the kids (aged 9 and 11) were starting to struggle, so we reached out to upgrade to e-bikes. Without any fuss at all, the team delivered and swapped our bikes right there on the trail — an impressive and seamless service that completely transformed the rest of our trip. The kids were back to loving every minute of it!
The accommodation and stops along the way were wonderful, and the whole three days felt well thought out from start to finish. If you’re planning a family ride on the Rail Trail, we can’t recommend Bike It Now highly enough. They truly go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly.

My husband and I did 74km in one day (all downhill, as Fletch dropped us off with her shuttle). The bikes are excellent! Normally I get an achy bottom after an hour of cycling, but these bikes have the best saddles and they were extremely comfortable! I didn’t feel any aches or pains! I’m even considering buying one of their bikes.

We love our 2 day ride with bike it now, we hired one bike and transfer for the Dunstan trail and the Roxborough dam trail, both were amazing experiences. Professional from the start. We changed dates of our ride at short notice, Deb and Lisa helped and sorted it all out for us. Day of the ride the crew were friendly and really knowledgeable. The briefing on how to use an electric bike was awesome!
Shuttle ride was fantastic, with Fletch telling us about the track and how it was made. Very relaxed. The staff were on the end of the phone if any breakdowns or punctures happened. If required they would send someone out to help.
We will be back again!

8 Continuous days of cycling through incredible scenic country. Bike It Now were absolutely fantastic, the hire E bike was sensational, accommodation lodgings along the way were more than I ever imagined, and the hosts at each one so helpful to me. The trails, Otago Central, Clutha Gold, Lake Dunstan, and Roxburgh Gorge safe fantastic exhilarating world class tracks. They catered for my every wish, where to eat suggestion, transfers between trails and airports went off perfectly. They set me off with all the information I needed, so travelling alone, I didn’t feel abandoned. I so wanted the ride to go for another 8 days. I’m a 70 YO. guy who has just had one of the best times in my life, and I’m coming back to ride again with Bike It Now.

Our whānau of four recently completed the Otago Rail Trail and booked our entire adventure through Bike It Now. From the very first enquiry to the moment we were dropped at our final destination, their service was nothing short of exceptional.
Claire, from the admin team, was an absolute star. I was a bit indecisive at first and needed several changes — dates adjusted, extra people added — and nothing was ever a problem. Her communication was consistently outstanding. She checked in regularly in the lead-up to our trip, offered to make dinner reservations, and was always friendly, responsive, and accommodating with both her calls and emails.
When our adventure began, the door-to-door service was seamless. The shuttle arrived promptly at our Queenstown accommodation, and the vehicle was comfortable and well maintained. Our driver, Dugald, was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing insightful commentary throughout our journey to Clyde.
On arrival, Fletch and the team were incredibly professional and clearly experts in what they do. Their briefing was thorough, clear, and reassuring. The information pack included everything we needed — itineraries, maps, distances, inclines, and points of interest. The bikes themselves were exceptionally well maintained and looked almost brand new. We were also shown how to get the best performance from them on the trail, which made a huge difference.
Our accommodation along the trail was fantastic, and arriving to find our luggage already waiting for us each day was such a blessing. At the end of our journey, the shuttle meeting us in Middlemarch was again spotless and comfortable, with another friendly and knowledgeable driver providing a relaxed trip back.
Overall, we were incredibly impressed not only by the professionalism and warmth of the staff, but also by the outstanding value for money. We would recommend Bike It Now to anyone wanting to experience the Otago Rail Trail — they made our trip unforgettable
