EPIC Lake Dunstan, Roxburgh Gorge & Clutha Gold Trails

This trip encompasses three of our magic trails; the “Lake Dunstan Trail”, the spectacular Roxburgh Gorge and the riverside Clutha Gold. Three totally different environments.

Pre ride
2pm collection by us from Queenstown – informative tour back to Clyde, free use of bikes overnight. (overnight The Lord Clyde)

Your Trip begins

Day 1– 36kms
Old Cromwell Town to Historic Clyde via the new Lake Dunstan Trail, you will be transferred from Clyde to Cromwell at 9.30 to begin your ride. (Your 2nd night is in Clyde again at The Lord Clyde)

Day 2– 33kms
Clyde to Lake Roxburgh Village via river track and the spectacular Roxburgh Gorge. (overnight Lake Roxburgh Lodge)

Day 3– 29kms
Lake Roxburgh Village to Millers Flat via Roxburgh town and Pinders Pond. (overnight The Church)

Day 4– 44kms
Millers Flat to Lawrence via Horseshoe Bend bridge and the Lonely Graves. Returned to Clyde  (Queenstown / Dunedin)

You may want to consider adding on an extra day or two and ride the new section of the Clutha Gold Trail to Lake Waihola.

Day 5– 62kms Lawrence to Waihola via Mt Stuart and Manuka Gorge Tunnels. Returned to Clyde / Queenstown or onto Dunedin / Dunedin Airport

What you get:
• Hire of our Merida Big 9’s, these have hydraulic disc brakes, puncture resistant tires for the smoothest ride possible. These come with; helmet, gender specific saddle, 2 side mounted panniers, dual density gel seat covers and ergo grips. We also have great Merida Electric Bikes; Step Through, MTB style and now also Full Suspension.
